The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards is the event many young designers feel excited about because some of them can win the competition and get the money prize as well as the ongoing advice from fashion experts. This year the ceremony was held at NYC’s Skylight Soho on November 15.Diane Von Furstenberg announced the three winners: Billy Reid (the first prize), Prabal Gurung and Eddie Borgo.

The prizes were bigger this year. Billy Reid received $300,000 (up from $200,000), while his runners-up Eddie Borgo and Prabal Gurung each took $100,000 (up from $50,000). However, as CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg noted “The main prize is the mentoring we provide.”
The rest of the CFDA finalists this year are: Christian Cota, Robert Geller, Oliver Helden and Paul Marlow of Loden Dager, Pamela Love of Pamela Love Jewelry, Moss Lipow and Gregory Parkinson. These young designers were treated to a keynote speech by Karl Lagerfeld.
Congratulations!!! We’re waiting for your fabulous works!
