Trend Alert: Nude Trench Coats

Nude is back! And I’m not referring to the birth suit, but the color nude. The nude color has been spotted in several top fashion designers’ runways, including that of BCBG and Chloe. The nude trend has also inspired several fashion editorials giving forecast to how this color is going to be a big thing in the fashion arena this year. From dresses to shoes to scarves, nude is continuing to make waves in the fashion scene.

The raincoat line has not been exempted from the reaches of nude as well. We’ve spotted several celebrities going for nude trench coats.

There’s this year’s Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence who stepped out for the Miu Miu Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2011 show during Paris Fashion Week a few days ago with her classy nude trench coat.

And then there’s fab fashion designer Stella McCartney who looked chic in her trench coat while doing her morning school run.

Nude is a very versatile shade. You can pair it with almost any color without difficulty. It’s subtle, yet when you mix it with other colors, it gives off that classy and sexy-without-trying-too-hard feel. And in the case of nude raincoats or trench coats, they can be your staple or go-to raincoats since they pretty much match any ensemble there is. Nude is certainly not just a trend that will last a fortnight, but it’s here to stay.
