Prada’s  Madras Bag Trends 2011 for Women – Latest Prada’s  Madras Bag 2011: Sienna Miller, Jessica Alba and Uma Thurman have all succumbed to Prada’s colourful new piece of arm candy.‘It-bags’ come and go, but one has caught the eye of Hollywood’s A-list this season more than any other.

Prada’s Madras tote is such a zesty shade of orange that it could also have been called ‘Chicken Tikka’. We’ve already spotted it dangling nonchalantly from the arms of Sienna Miller, Jessica Alba and Uma Thurman – a trio of style-setters if ever there was one – adding an instant ‘colour-pop’ to spring looks.

Handwoven using goat leather from India’s Madras region via a sophisticated but traditional weaving technique, the bags form part of Prada’s new ‘Made In’ project, which sees creative director Miuccia Prada collaborate with specialised craftsmen from around the world to bring her designs to life

If you want to get in on the action, you’d better get saving – the Madras weighs-in at a hefty £1595 – that’s the equivalent to 268 portions of the traditional curried dish…
