Romance was Born: east meets west

When you hear the name Romance Was Born a number of words may spring to mind, and odds are commercial isn't high on the list. But what we saw on the LMFF (L'Oreal Melbourne fashion festival) runway wasn't patched together from granny squares or seashells, or covered in bodypaint, or capped off by giant, theatrical headpieces. No, this was Romance at its most commercially appealing.

The east-meets-west theme yielded some bright florals and star city sequins; statement pieces that are worn to wow. But the pieces worth adding to your wardrobe are more so the sheer lace pieces - edgier than they are delicate for their boldness - and a va-va-voom mandarin collar jacket that was trimmed in fur.
